Return, Refund & Warranty Policy – MotorVault

At MotorVault, we stand behind the integrity of our inventory. Our policies are designed to ensure transparency, protect your investment, and provide a seamless experience from delivery to installation.

1. Return Policy

We offer a 14-day return window from the date of delivery. To be eligible for a return, parts must be in their original, uninstalled condition.

  • Eligibility: Parts must be unused, uninstalled, and unmodified.
  • Packaging: Items must be returned in their original packaging with all labels and accessories included.
  • Condition: Returns must be free of physical damage, scratches, or alterations.
  • Authorisation: A Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) is required. Don't hesitate to contact us to obtain your RMA number before shipping.
  • Restocking Fee: A 20% restocking fee applies to all returns to cover inspection, processing, and administrative costs. This fee is deducted from your final refund.

Non-Returnable Items:

  • Installed or partially installed engines/transmissions.
  • Electrical components that have been connected or plugged in.
  • Custom-sourced or special-order items.
  • Parts damaged due to improper handling or storage by the customer.

2. Refund Process

Once your return is received at our facility, it undergoes a rigorous inspection by our technicians.

  • Inspection & Approval: 2–3 business days.
  • Internal Processing: 5–7 business days following approval.
  • Bank Posting: 5–10 business days (depending on your financial institution).

Total Estimated Timeframe: 10–15 business days for funds to appear in your account.
Refund Method: Credits are issued to the original payment method (Credit/Debit, PayPal, or Wire Transfer).
Refund Amount: Your refund includes the purchase price minus the 20% restocking fee. Original and return shipping costs are non-refundable.

3. Order Cancellation

We understand that plans can change. You may cancel your order according to the following windows:

  • 24-Hour Grace Period: Cancel within 24 hours of placement for a full refund with no fees.
  • Pre-Shipment: If an order is cancelled before shipment, the customer will incur only a restocking fee of 20%.
  • In-Transit: If you refuse delivery while the item is in transit, a refund will be issued minus all shipping costs and 20% Restocking fee.
  • Special Orders: Custom-sourced units may be subject to a 20% fee if cancellation occurs after processing begins.

4. Warranty Coverage

Every MotorVault engine and transmission is backed by a comprehensive warranty of up to 3 years, covering defects in materials and workmanship.

  • What’s Covered: Internal components (pistons, crankshaft, gears, bearings), engine blocks, cylinder heads, and factory-installed seals/gaskets.
  • What’s Not Covered: External accessories (alternators, starters), labor costs for installation/removal, or damage caused by overheating and improper maintenance.

To File a Claim: Contact us immediately at motorvaultengines@gmail.com upon discovery of an issue. Do not disassemble the part. Provide photos, a technician's report, and documentation of the installation.

5. Inspection & Photo Approval

  • Important: Once a part is installed, return eligibility ends, and warranty coverage begins.
  • Visual Inspection: You have 48 hours from delivery to inspect the unit for transit damage.
  • Photo Approval Service: For added peace of mind, you may request "Photo Approval" during checkout.

6. Core Return Requirements

If your purchase includes a core charge, you must return your old unit within 30 days to receive a full core refund.

  • Condition: The core must be the same type as the purchased unit and include all major components (block, heads, crank).
  • Rejection: Cores with cracked blocks, fire damage, or missing major internals may be rejected or result in a partial refund.
  • Process: Use our prepaid return label and the original packaging from your new part.
